Arrival and the crew

We flew to Entebbe via Dubai and Addis Ababa with Emirates - easy! We ticked off the rusting hulk of the Air France plane hijacked in 1976 and blown up by the Israelis.

Having checked in at the Boma Guesthouse in Entebbe, we hooked up with our group of five plus our leader - four Brits and a South African.

We also met our local driver, Robert, and said hello to our friendly (unstretched) Toyota Landcruiser, which would become a second home over the next three weeks!

There was lots to see just around Entebbe and along the roadsides - it was often hard not to stop for every bird!
