Coto Doñana and Extremadura,
April 1999

A classic two-centred Spanish trip, mopping up all the steppe species like Great and Little Bustard, both sandgrouse, loads of larks and so on, plus a whole raft of raptors (including Spanish Imperial Eagle), and classic Mediterranean warblers, wheatears and other passerines. Also masses of waterbirds in the Coto Doñana, including a surprise Little Crake!
