Spain, April 2003

A classic trip: Extremadura and the Coto Doñana, plus a visit to the Gredos mountains. Lots of special Iberian species: Spanish Imperial Eagle, Eurasian Eagle-Owl, Iberian Magpie, Iberian Grey Shrike, Western Orphean Warbler, Red-knobbed Coot, Marbled Duck, both bustards and both sandgrouse, lots of vultures and other great raptors, and even a European mega-rarity, a Western Reef Heron!
